ACUISOST

      VISAVET participates as a research center in the project of Programa Cenit "Acuisost" Towards sustainable aquaculture. The project seeks the development and evaluation of raw materials, technologies and systems applied in the aquaculture sector, including aspects such as aquaculture nutrition, biosafety, the commercialization of high value-added products, food safety and minimization of by-products and revaluation enhance sound and sustainable production. VISAVET Health Surveillance Centre participates in the following points:

• Monitoring of Infectious Diseases in Fish Process
    • Diagnosis and control of Fish Diseases
    • Research in the hemorrhagic enteritis of rainbow trout
    • Investigation of red spot disease of the golden
    • Quality control pathogens in fish farms and sewage waste
    • Quality control of fish pathogens in raw materials, compound feed and fish
• Removal of bodies and by pollutants and organic waste management and its potential application for the energy use
