Summary

The VISAVET centre of Complutense University of Madrid organises a European One Health Association workshop focused on Vector borne Diseases (see programme), connecting professionals from different expertise areas from different European countries.

The purpose of this workshop focused in VBD is to bring together experts and stakeholders from various fields, including epidemiology, public health, and vector control, to address the growing threat of emerging vector-borne diseases in Europe. By fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and building strong research networks, the workshop aims to promote the exchange of cutting-edge scientific knowledge, identify gaps in current research, and develop innovative strategies for monitoring, preventing, and controlling vector-borne diseases. The ultimate goal is to strengthen regional and global efforts to combat these diseases through a unified approach and coordinated future research initiatives.
