The aim is to mobilize high level interest and support particularly from the public health sector and agriculture sectors for the control and elimination of neglected zoonotic diseases in all places where they represent a significant public and/or animal health burden. Progress made in prevention and control of NZDs since the 2nd international conference held in Nairobi, Kenya in 2007 will also be reviewed
