Elena Castellanos Rizaldos, Syva Award 2011 for the best doctoral thesis in Animal Health

The research project "Molecular characterization of isolates of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis. Epidemiological map in Spain", was conducted at the VISAVET Health Surveillance Centre

The XIV Edition of the Syva Price went to Elena Castellanos Rizaldos on July 9, 2010, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, at the Complutense University of de Madrid and it was led by Drs Martin Alicia Aranaz, Lucía de Juan Ferre and Lucas Domínguez Rodríguez , Director of the VISAVET Centre.

 

The prize, awarded for the best doctoral thesis in Animal Health was presented in Spain, Portugal and Mexico, comes from the signing of an agreement between the University of León and SYVA Laboratories and consists of a cash prize of 15. 000. The delivery will take place on May 31 at 17 pm in the auditorium of the building common uses of the Technological Park of León (Avenida Portugal, s / n. 24009 León).

In addition, this year, in the ceremony will carry on with the recognition of the company's career at the University of Prof. Miguel Cordero del Campillo and also Dr. Margarita Salas Falgueras of the Center for Molecular Biology Severo Ochoa (CSIC-UAM ) will take apart with a paper entitled, "From Molecular Biology to the Biomedicine".
