Chlamydiosis poses a significant threat to koala health and population viability. Accurate diagnosis of chlamydial infection in koalas at veterinary hospitals informs patient prognosis, biosecurity and determines treatment. However, there is no standardised approach to the diagnosis of chlamydiosis in wildlife hospitals.
