Changes in climate have always occurred but we are currently undergoing a climatic change without precedent, where natural causes play a secondary role and where the human race, with its technological advances, has the capacity to cause great catastrophes. In the near future, control of the climate could become a weapon of mass destruction, used by countries for security and defence, or for obtaining power. This type of climate control could also have side effects that compromise the biosecurity of people, animals and plants.
