Study of nervous system tumors in the veterinary neuropathology field

The researcher Paola Marco-Salazar ends her stay at the University of California Davis

Paola Marco-Salazar, PhD student of the VISAVET Pathology and Forensic Veterinary Medicine Unit of Complutense University of Madrid, has finished her stay at the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology. School of Veterinary Medicine. University of California Davis (California) where he has collaborated on studies of nervous system tumors in the veterinary neuropathology field.

 

These studies include canine peripheral nerve sheath tumors (PNSTs) and perivascular wall tumors (PWTs) to be published shortly, and the canine CNS lymphomas presented in June at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Forum in Tennessee.

 

Paola Marco-Salazar later this year will defend his PhD thesis, directed by the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, entitled "The role of neurotrophins and neurotrophin receptors in the pathogenesis of neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration".
