Quality and Biosafety Unit

All the activities that make this group consist on normalizing the different techniques or tests performed by the laboratory. The new regulations of Public Health, Animal Health require increasingly that laboratories are technically competent, that is, generate reliable results, and this requires on the one hand to implement a quality management system across the board and work and on the other hand work with standard methods.

With regard to biosecurity activities, which carried out by the Unit are aimed at staff training and preparation of biosafety documents or manuals based mainly (Real Decreto 664/1997, of May 12) on the protection of workers risks related to exposure to biological agents during the work, making sure that there is Health Surveillance Staff, conducting efforts to comply with the regulations necessary for the proper functioning of biosafety level 3 Laboratory as well as the animal facility (registration, application for approval of research projects in experimental animals, etc.).
