Fifteen dogs were submitted to the Pathology and Forensic Veterinary Service of the VISAVET center for forensic autopsies. Some of the animals had been buried after their death, being in different degrees of decomposition (n=10). Inside the same house, there are still 5 live animals which showed severe signs of dehydration and watery diarrhea, some of them even hemorrhagic. Therefore, although some of them were over 1,5 years old, a rapid test (immunochromatography) against corona and parvovirus was performed, and they were strongly positive for parvovirus (CPV). After autopsy of the animals, it was revealed that in all cases there were signs of acute, diffuse and severe hemorrhagic enteritis affecting several sections of the intestine. Histologically, it was found to be a non regenerative enteritis, whose histopathological diagnosis corresponded to a necro-hemorrhagic enteritis characterized by complete destruction of the intestinal villi, which in some cases appeared fused and with marked extravasation of red blood cells (hemorrhages). The crypts of Lieberkühn appeared devoid of enterocytes, and instead megalocytes and microabscesses appeared at the level of the lumen. Both the pathological findings and the complementary tests showed that this is an atypical presentation of canine parvovirus affecting animals older than 1 year of age. Among the lesions of infrequent presentation in dogs observed in this study, myocarditis, nephritis and lymphocytic pneumonia stand out. This suggests the need for differential diagnosis with other viruses belonging to the Parvoviridae family, such as minute virus or bocavirus, in kennels and animal protection centers
