Salmonella prevalence on swine farms

The most commonly identified bacterial cause of food borne outbreaks in the EU is Salmonella. In order to establish control programmes to reduce Salmonella prevalence in food-producing animals, a series of studies which facilitate the comparison of Salmonella prevalence between member states has been established.
