Talk of tuberculosis is talking about the history of medicine. From the early detection attempts until the treatment and vaccination beginning, man has faced the most fatal disease of the modern era. At present, although it has managed to reduce its incidence in developed countries, developing countries causes hundreds of thousands of deaths annually. In this work, the authors analyze and emphasize the crucial importance of a collaborative and integrated approach worldwide between human medicine and animal health to achieve mitigate its effects. After a brief historical background, explain the techniques that exist for diagnosis, vaccination tools available and veterinary fundamental contribution in the fight against this disease.
