Adults (≈ 4-11 mm, according to sex): whitish worms known as "pin worms" because of the very long tapering tail of the mature females The oesophagus has the typical oxyurid oesophageal bulb Males have only one spicule and lack of copulatory bursa Eggs (≈ 88-110 x 43 µm) are thin-walled, with slightly flattened walls on one side
