La tuberculosis (TB) bovina es una micobacteriosis zoonósica producida por miembros del Complejo Mycobacterium tuberculosis (CMTB), especialmente M. bovis y M. caprae (Valcheva et al., 2022).
La presencia de esta enfermedad en la cabaña ganadera comporta una serie de repercusiones sanitarias y económicas por lo que diversos países, entre ellos España, han instaurado programas de erradicación de la TB en ganado bovino (MAPA, 2025).
